Frequently Asked Questions

Everybody wonders about these things. Now you can find out. Just scroll through for some important tid-bits of information.

Do I have to book in advance?

Yes, all games must be booked in advance.  We prefer at least a week’s notice, however, call as soon as you know when you would like to play to ensure that you get the day and time that you want.

How long is the booking?

Typically Scenario bookings are 3 hours of play time. Birthday and Bachelor Parties are 2 hours. However, if additional time of less than an hour is needed, we gladly extend your playing time without any additional charge.

Are there games on Sundays?

Yep. We're open Sunday afternoons throughout the season. Please call or email to check for availability.

How many people should there be to play?

You must have a minimum of 8 people to book a game.  We recommend 10 - 20 players for the ultimate paintball experience.

How old do I have to be?

Paintball is great in that it can be enjoyed by players young and old. The minimum age at Megiddo is 12. However, younger children can play if accompanied by a parent or guardian on the field. All players under 18 must have their waiver form signed by a parent or legal guardian. We also reserve the right to ask for proof-of-age.

What should I bring/wear?

  • A few layers of light, loose-fitting clothing will really help to reduce the impact. Most of our games are played in the woods, so if you want to blend in, consider dark colours, fatigues, or camo.
  • Some players prefer to wear gloves -- shots to the knuckles are no treat. Most people wear a ball-cap, beanie, or bandana under their goggles. The brim of a cap (worn backwards) can help keep the goggle strap in position, and a little bit of protection on top can ease the pain of a headshot, and keep you cleaner.
  • Some guys prefer to wear a protective cup.
  • A change of clothes for the drive home will help keep your vehicle clean from the dirt and paint that will probably be on your playing clothes.

Paintball Gear:

  • Please note that limited tools and replacement parts are available -- please bring what you might need to keep your own marker working (excludes rental gear).
  • Goggles -- if you've got your own, bring em. Anti-fog spray is always helpful. We have paper towel and spray bottles available to clean lenses between games.
  • Markers -- again, bring your own if you've got it. Barrel-Blocking Devices are required.
  • Paintballs -- don't bother bringing any, since they're not allowed.

Can I bring my own paint?

No. For a few reasons. First, the paint you buy at Walmart or Canadian Tire is generally low quality, which can cause paintballs to jam in the barrel, stopping your play time. Second, paint is really the only money-making item we've got, and if we didn't turn a profit, we'd have to close. The paint we sell is high-grade, manufactured for professional paintball gaming.

How many paintballs will I need?

Well, that depends on how much you shoot! Newer players tend to use less paint than experienced players. For most people, 500 rounds is sufficient for a 3-hour session, but it really depends on your style of play.

What is "speedball"?

This is a fast-paced game, played on an open field, with inflated bunkers for cover.

Does it hurt when I get hit?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It feels about like a snap from a strong rubber band. The simplest method of avoiding the pain is to not get hit. Layers of loose clothing reduce the impact.

Other Stuff:

  • Waiver -- you'll have to sign our waiver form when you arrive (or bring one already completed). Players under age 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign their form. Additional copies are available when you get here.
  • Snacks -- something to munch on between games is a great way to keep your energy levels up. We supply the drinking water.
  • Bug dope -- hey, we're in the woods in rural New Brunswick. The flies are normally not much of an issue when you're playing, but during breaks, you're lunch.

What does Megiddo mean?

Megiddo is an ancient fortified city, one of the most famous battlegrounds in the world. It is also predicted in the Bible that this will be the site of the battle commonly known as "Armageddon". We chose the name because it represents ultimate victory.
